National Peanut Day

Many backyard birds love to eat peanuts, a food so popular that it even has its own day of celebration. National Peanut Day is September 13.

Add a peanut feeder to your yard to attract birds such as titmice, jays, chickadees, woodpeckers and nuthatches. Along with seed and suet, all of these birds will eat peanut pieces, which are high in fat and protein. It is fun to watch the behavior and antics of birds that come to peanut feeders. Stop by our store and we'll show you how to get in on the fun.
